Fuerteventura Carnival 2026: The Ultimate Guide (How to survive in style)

February 05 2026
Fuerteventura Festivities & Events
Can you feel it? It’s the beat of the batucadas blending with the sound of the waves. That’s right—the Fuerteventura Carnival is finally here, and 2026 is coming back stronger than ever. If you’re on the island (or planning to land soon), get ready: weeks of glitter, wigs, and, above all, plenty of Canarian culture right on the beach await.

At Buendía Corralejo, we know that Carnival is lived by day and enjoyed by night, but we also know you need a "sanctuary" to recharge your batteries between dances. Grab your planner, because here’s your definitive road map for this year’s festivities.

Carnival Calendar: Where’s the party at?

To make sure you don't miss a single "pasacalle," here are the key dates for Fuerteventura Carnival 2026.

-Puerto del Rosario (February 6 - 22): The capital will vibrate to the rhythm of The Musicals. Mark February 15th in red, because the Achipencos Regatta is simply unmissable.
-Antigua / Caleta (February 4 - 14): A journey through World Cultures that reaches its peak with the great Caleta de Fuste Parade.
-Corralejo / La Oliva (March 5 - 15): The north fills with flavor with the Latin America theme. The main event will undoubtedly be The Grand Parade on March 14th.
-Pájara / Morro Jable (March 6 - 22): The magic of Disney arrives in the south, where the most anticipated show is the iconic Drag Queen Gala.

Los Achipencos: Only in Fuerteventura

If you’re looking for something truly unique in Fuerteventura’s Carnival, you have to head to the capital on February 15th. Forget traditional floats; here we celebrate the Achipencos Regatta.

What is an Achipenco? Basically, a "Floating Carnival Contraption Powered by Non-Polluting Energy". Hundreds of people take to the sea in homemade (and very crazy) vessels to try and navigate the bay of Puerto del Rosario. It’s the most fun and authentic event on the island.

Corralejo Carnival 2026: Our house, our rules

Since we’re based in the north, the Corralejo Carnival is the one closest to our hearts. This year’s theme is "Latin America", so expect plenty of rhythm, color, and incredible energy in the streets.

From March 5th to 15th, Corralejo transforms. The highlight is the Grand Parade on Saturday, March 14th, where thousands of people fill the main avenue. If you want to live it from the heart of the action, our apartments in Corralejo are your ideal base of operations.

Buendía Tip: Forget parking headaches or hunting for taxis. We’re just a short stroll away from Corralejo’s main stages. You can go out to the party, walk back in 5 minutes, and dive into the silence of your room.
